Last Day of School

Shut the front door! I can't believe school is out and I am now officially unemployed! It definently is bitter sweet. I am SO glad to be able to take the time off to be with baby. However, I have made such good friends at school and I have loved working with everyone there. Westridge is seriously the best school (Ranked #7 in Utah!) and I have the best students!

I Guess if You're Into That Kind of Thing....

Odd occurrence...During recess duty the other day, a third grader stood in front of me and started to jump rope. Nothing odd, except she was staring me down. I have never seen or talked to this girl in my life.
After about 5 minutes of jumping and staring she stopped and began the following conversation with me.

Girl: "Are you married?"
Me: (looking at my clearly large baby belly) "Yeeeessss......"
Girl: "Oh, that's too bad...You would be perfect for my dad."
Me: (laughing, yet feeling oddly uncomfortable) "Oh shoot....Maybe you should go jump over there...."

Is her dad into young pregnant girls?
Oddest conversation ever...

The One Who Doesn't Look Pregnant

Last night, a couple of my BYU BFFs got together. We made dinner, they gave me things...overall it was a fun evening.
Abby (Far right) was feeling bad that her baby (Riggs) was sick and couldn't be there, so before taking this picture she said "I'm the only one who doesn't look pregnant!". Um, Rude. Just kidding. Love these gals!
Also, HECKS no would I be in this picture. They are all hot mama's and I look like a walking Blimp.

Roses are Red...Really, REALLY Red

I think it was Teacher Appreciate Week last week. I got all these cards and gifts from my students and I couldn't figure out why. Finally, on the last day, I got these lovelies and a card that said "Happy Teacher Appreciate Week".
I have loved my students this year. As frustrating as they can get, I have LOVED being there. I might even feel some form of sadness when they leave.

Real SLC Game

For John's birthday, we went to the Rio Tinto Stadium and watched Real play. It was fun, however, I got a wicked farmer's tan. We also saw a play break his ankle. That was a thrill. The ever constant drumming and horn blowing was also a favorite.

Off to the Races in Our Snow Gear!

This year my school did a 1 mile/5k fundraiser. I convinced (by convinced I mean secretly signed up) John to walk the 1 mile with me...there is no way on this Earth I would run.

It was fun...all except for the snow! What the what! Snow in April?!

Anyway, it was good to get out and do that...plus, I walked super fast because 2 minutes into it, I realized I had to go to the bathroom.
