Thirteen Things We've Learned in the Past Monthish

1. Dresses with big flowers on them might be the cutest thing around...

2. Or it could possibly be these purple flower moccasins from Grandma Jan...

3. St. George splashpads and water parks and the best with cousins.....

4. Somehow the blazing St. George sun hasn't tanned my skin at all....

5. Being married 6 years is awesome...especially when you surprise your husband with an overnight trip to Mesquite with no baby!

6. Babies reeeeallly like to shred things....

7. Paint bags taped to our window are super entertaining...

8. Swinging in a tire swing in Price is a totally normal/ awesome thing to do....
9. Grandma Diane like the trampoline just as much as Ava....
10. Stairs are fun/scary...
11. Ava can totally pull off a beanie in the summer....
12. Putting straws into an ice cube tray provides at least 30 minutes of quiet entertainment....
13. Ava can't touch peanut butter...(this was after the bath and the picture does it no justice...she was totally itchy and red and swollen...)

Ava is ONE!

I can't believe it! This year has gone by WAY too fast! I can't believe how lucky I am to have the sweetest, craziest, most loveable baby around! I have loved every minute I have had with this sweet girl!

Now that Ava is walking, she is into EVERYTHING! Seriously, how I am not super thin?! I chase her around ALL DAY! At the same time, playing with Ava is never dull! She keeps us on our toes!

She says a few words now. Woah, Wow, Yeah, Up (sometimes), and Nana (banana). It also cracks us up when we give something to Ava. She points at it and goes "Ohhhhhh". Its the best!

She is looking more and more like John everyday! Sometimes I see a little of the King side, but she is definitely a Williams baby. We haven't gone to her Check-up yet, but I will post the stats when I get them.

We are so blessed and grateful to have Ava in our lives. It has been the best year EVER and I can't wait to see what the next year will hold in store for my sweet baby!

Look at how much she has grown!

Par-Tay Time!

Ava had a pretty sweet ice-cream bash. It was lots of fun to have a few friends and family come by to party it up!
In my mind, her decorations were super cute...and then when I saw the pictures, I thought to myself..."blegh". It was still fun and Ava loved all of the attention....and the cake. She LOVED the cake. All in all, it was a good time!

We had "flava'd" water...so clever of me!

The table setup excluding the homemade chocolate and vanilla ice cream and the bananas.
The kids were really good at helping Ava open presents.
 Ava got a bike!

This picture makes me laugh...she looks like there has never been anything in the world better than this cake.
We have a video of her with the cake, but I still can't get any videos to work!

Walker and Jessica brought a HUGE 7 foot box for her to play with...it was literally the hit of the party!

Ava loves her bike!

End of July

John had a company summer party at the Lake. It was supa fun. We got to go boating and do lots of other fun stuff...like watch Ava eat sand. Seriously, that girl just puts it away. It's reDONK. Aside from cleaning up sand for DAYS after, it was a good time.

We also went to Beaver for the 24th. I LOVE the Beaver 24th parade. It is the best! It was fun to hang out with my grandparents while we there as well. We entered Ava in the races...she was the best. And by the best, I mean she took 3 steps and then decided the grass was more fun to play with. End of race. At least she got an otter pop. She was stoked about that.
On a side note, we are teaching Ava to say "Yeah Buddy". She has the yeah down but that's it. To be fair, she's not putting in a fair amount of practice in on her own. We need to work on that too.

Ava also started cutting her first tooth. As a result, this is how we spent most of Sunday.

On the brighter side, my baby is adorbz.

11 Months

I don't know who is more excited for Ava to turn one....me or Ava. Probably me. This month has been so much fun! Flavs talks SO MUCH. It's amazing how much someone can say who really has nothing to say at all. She says 'mama', 'dada', 'baba', 'nana', and once in a blue moon 'up'. She loves to clap and wave. She also might be a professional peek-a-booer. Anything she can hide behind becomes a game. We might play it 10-12 times a day.
Ava also started taking a few steps by herself! I have a video of it, but I still can't figure out how to post videos so if you want to see her do it, you will have to make a road trip down to St. George.
She is the sweetest baby! She is starting to like other people, but she still has her shy moments. More than likely, she will wave to you! I'm so glad she didn't get my dislike for people in general.

Likes
Any food...seriously, she will eat anything. Including not edible items.
Peek-a-boo
Chasing people
Straws
Grandpa King...she is so obsessed with my dad. She gets so happy when she sees him and then gets so mad when he's not there. She only wanted him during the family reunion.
Vacuums
Stairs

Dislikes
Sunscreen
Getting her hair done
Country music...oh wait, that's me.

This is how she looks when I find her doing something she shouldn't be doing. In this case, it was yanking Brigham's feet while he was eating.

King Family Field Trip

This year we had a supa fun family reunion at Bear Lake. It was so much fun! Not only did I get to see all of my family, I got a wicked sweet sunburn! Hecka Yeah! Here's a little sneak peak into our super legit reunion (Picture Overload!!!!)
Dad may or may not kill me when he sees this picture...it depends if he's dressed as "Dad" King or "President" King.

The kids launched things while the babies watched.

Ava LOVED sand. She ate lots of it...I found it later in her poop. Yummy.

We rented this and attempted to work off the million calories we ate.

We got raspberry shakes everyday...seriously...everyday.

Mom had her annual "Grandma's Camp"
 We played on the beach....

 We relaxed....

 We canoed....

 We hiked around Tony's Grove

We went to a parade.
All of the cousins born in one year.

We had such a good time and we can't wait for the next reunion!
