Flava Update

I realized I haven't posted any updates on Ava in a while so here's her "16 month and 11 days" update.

She LOVES to talk...seriously, we can't get the girl to stop talking...unless she's by other people, in which case, she keeps her mouth shut.

Playing in the backyard. Now that the yard is done, she has her bike, car, and chalkboard to play with. Cousins

Singing - She is so funny to listen to when she sings. She gets a sing song voice and tries to follow along with any songs that she hears.

Seriously, this girl is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen. She loves to play and be silly and she is SO curious.

Dislikes
Eggs....okay, seriously, who doesn't like eggs?! I have tried every different way to cook eggs and she wants nothing to do with it. She puts her tongue on it and then spits it out
Naps
Riding in the car...I'm guessing she will like it better when she can face forward, but she is still too small so we will have to bear through the car rides.
Santa. This girl has a grudge match with anything Santa. She loves to see pictures of Santa and she will say his name, but anytime she sees someone wearing a Santa hat or dressed as Santa, all jingle breaks loose.

Words
A lot that Ava says makes no sense to anyone but John and I. But here's what she says pretty well.
Show - We hardly ever let her watch TV and the only show she likes to watch is Yo Gabba Gabba. So anytime she sees a TV, she says "Show" or "Muno" (one of the characters on the show)

This Time of Year

Here's a video that helped my thoughts turn to the Savior. I know I need the reminder this time of the year to keep the Savior close to my heart. It is so comforting to feel his love, especially with all of the horrible things happening in the world.

Ava played with Easter eggs...as one usually does over Thanksgiving.

Ava messed up my 8 loads of laundry.

Ava practiced putting ornaments on a felt tree. We needed her to be ready and really good at actually putting ornaments on a tree before actual tree-trimming go time. There's nothing worse than a messy looking tree.

Halloween

Halloween this year was preeeety legit. Our ward didn't do a trunk-or-treat and we were out of town until later in the Halloween day. We went over to my sister's house for a little get together and trick or treating. Ava kind of liked it. She really liked getting candy. She would run up to the door and then get super shy when someone opened it. Luckily, she had cousins around to help her out. At some point, she lost interest and started throwing rocks...that fits.

The penta friend group got together this weekend for a par-tay! Well, it would have been a penta party, but we were short one...pentoid?(Adam)

MeLisa's Wedding

MeLisa is all married and such! So crazy! It was such a fun day though. And they did the best thing ever...get married in the morning, luncheon in the afternoon...DONE. Seriously, it was so nice to be able to relax and get things back in order that night.
We were so blessed to be able to be in the temple with Todd and MeLisa and we are so grateful for their choice to be sealed together. We are also grateful that Todd's sister makes the chocolate cake I've ever had in my life and that she made the wedding cake.
