Ava Gets the Best Room....

Seriously, Flav's room is my favorite room....I might spend all day in there...with or without Ava.
Blegh....I hate those blinds...oh well.

This is Ava's favorite place...she will come in the room, pick a book, and sit and read. LOVE.

Ummmm, don't mind the toy mess....

Holidazy!

Can I just start off by saying, this baby is seriously the cutest....

The holidays were seriously so fun. We got to see tons of family and Ava was totally spoiled. She got WAY too much stuff from Santa and had WAY too much grandparent time. We have just barely recovered from grandparent withdrawal.
Here are some pictures from over the Christmas break (Don't worry, I don't thing I got enough.)

We made maybe a million spritz cookies
Ava had Gingerbread Man pancakes

Annual Christmas Eve Asian Buffet

Ava's favorite gift was a Yo, Gabba Gabba! blanket...she was obsessed.

Another appearance of the blanket.
Seriously, she would not leave it alone.

Sharing some pre-breakfast
She got a baby doll as well and everytime she picked it up, she would give it a kiss...and yes, we totally teach her to give open-mouth kisses.

Cousin time with Kennedy

Photobombs with Mikelle
New Years Party
Still an unpleasant experience

We hope everyone had as good of a holiday as we did!

Flava Update

I realized I haven't posted any updates on Ava in a while so here's her "16 month and 11 days" update.

Likes
She LOVES to talk...seriously, we can't get the girl to stop talking...unless she's by other people, in which case, she keeps her mouth shut.
Almost all foods
Running
Playing in the backyard. Now that the yard is done, she has her bike, car, and chalkboard to play with. Cousins
Puzzles
Books
Singing - She is so funny to listen to when she sings. She gets a sing song voice and tries to follow along with any songs that she hears.
Dancing
Grandpa King

Seriously, this girl is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen. She loves to play and be silly and she is SO curious.

Dislikes
Eggs....okay, seriously, who doesn't like eggs?! I have tried every different way to cook eggs and she wants nothing to do with it. She puts her tongue on it and then spits it out
Naps
Riding in the car...I'm guessing she will like it better when she can face forward, but she is still too small so we will have to bear through the car rides.
Santa. This girl has a grudge match with anything Santa. She loves to see pictures of Santa and she will say his name, but anytime she sees someone wearing a Santa hat or dressed as Santa, all jingle breaks loose.

Words
A lot that Ava says makes no sense to anyone but John and I. But here's what she says pretty well.
Show - We hardly ever let her watch TV and the only show she likes to watch is Yo Gabba Gabba. So anytime she sees a TV, she says "Show" or "Muno" (one of the characters on the show)
Shoe
Mom
Dad
Santa
Nice
Go
Bow
What is it?
I think there are more, but I can't think of what they are. Oh well.

We sure love this little princess!

This Time of Year

Here's a video that helped my thoughts turn to the Savior. I know I need the reminder this time of the year to keep the Savior close to my heart. It is so comforting to feel his love, especially with all of the horrible things happening in the world.

Remember, Remember, the Legit Times of November

Here are some fun pictures from November!
We took a family picture.
We ran in the Color Me Rad 5K

We went to Price and hung out with Grandma and Grandpa King.
Ava played with Easter eggs...as one usually does over Thanksgiving.

We played outside.
Ava messed up my 8 loads of laundry.

Ava practiced putting ornaments on a felt tree. We needed her to be ready and really good at actually putting ornaments on a tree before actual tree-trimming go time. There's nothing worse than a messy looking tree.

Halloween

Halloween this year was preeeety legit. Our ward didn't do a trunk-or-treat and we were out of town until later in the Halloween day. We went over to my sister's house for a little get together and trick or treating. Ava kind of liked it. She really liked getting candy. She would run up to the door and then get super shy when someone opened it. Luckily, she had cousins around to help her out. At some point, she lost interest and started throwing rocks...that fits.

Getting ready for the big event.

Ava wants to know where the candy is.

Frolicking in rocks.

Easton was an awesome minion.

John's shirt says "I am the treat." I know that's right.

This haunted house scared Ava and I. Luckily, they gave Ava lots of candy because they felt bad for scaring her. Where was my candy....?
